HYDRAULICS · CRUISE · LEVEL HARD
Cruise FL350, VIDP–VABB. A turbine blade release has damaged both GREEN and BLUE hydraulic return lines simultaneously — system pressure on both circuits drops below 1 450 PSI. HYD G+B SYS LO PR warning fires (Level 3, red, CRC). Both engines and AC buses remain normal — the YELLOW system stays pressurised on ENG 2. F/CTL reverts to ALTERNATE LAW with NO protection; SLATS, L ELEV, L+R AIL, SPOILERS 1/3/5, YAW DAMPER 1, NORM BRK, AUTO BRK and REVERSER 1 are INOP. The stabilizer, anti-skid and nose-wheel steering all survive on yellow.
Fly the aircraft first — alternate law NO protection, MANEUVER WITH CARE, MAX 320 KT / M.77, SPD BRK DO NOT USE. Run the HYD G+B SYS LO PR ECAM: PTU OFF → AFFECTED PUMPS OFF (GREEN ENG 1 + BLUE ELEC). PM declares MAYDAY to ATC once aircraft under control. A/THR OFF and select speed on the FCU. Land FLAP 3 (slats jammed 0) at VREF+25 kt; gravity gear extension WHEN SPD 200 KT — early, to get DIRECT law and its better pitch control before the approach. Divert to nearest suitable airport with adequate runway.
